There was a community of thanks this past weekend as many from Arkona and the surrounding areas came with grateful hearts to say thank you and good bye to one of our two incredible local family doctors here in our little village.  Where so many towns and cities have a shortage of doctors, our town has been blessed to have been sincerely cared for and treated by Dr. Beattie and Dr. Johnson. 

The one thing I will remember from things said on Saturday, was Dr. Johnson making the comment about how much Dr. Beattie truly cared for his patients.  And the one thing I hope both of these gentlemen will always know, is how much this community is so thankful, and truly cares for them!

Mr. & Mrs. James and Joanna

Congratulations to the amazing Mr. & Mrs. James & Joanna!  After a beautiful ceremony that truly spoke of a covenant vs. a contract, the couple headed out in a newly restored Jaguar by Joanna’s Dad, to Forest Cliff Camp to enjoy the fall colours.  Many more personal touches were visible throughout the reception,  a made to order “cabin photo booth”!  The entire day was beautiful, an incredible celebration of love!

 It was puffy clouds and sunny skies for this couple on their predicted rainy wedding day! A fitting treat for such an incredible couple and their amazing wedding party!  Married at outdoors at Canatara Park in Sarnia, nothing would stand in their way of enjoying the celebrations – and nothing did!  It was a privilege to be able to capture the memories of this most amazing day…right down to the point where we seized control of a strangers yacht and MG before leaving Sarnia!  Please click play to view slideshow.

VBC 2012

Several local churches linked together to bring together this Rock theme Vacation Bible Camp for 2012 at the Legacy Centre in Lambton Shores.  The results were once again an amazing time spent with the kids, as everyone participated in events from songs, Bible lessons, crafts, dance, and drumming.  Along with these great activities, everyone also participated in giving back projects; even the youngest children participated by working along side the kitchen staff and washing the dishes!  The end of the week was celebrated with a “Family Night BBQ & Show”, including the Mac & Cheese Domino event.  Check out the video below for more on what the 190+ registered kids, and over 60 volunteers were up to this past week!
